We first got in touch with DOMINO because we saw a dog called SIMBA on Facebook. We spoke a lot on the phone. I asked all my questions but also the contact person from DOMINO wanted to know everything about us. They really wanted to find out if there could be a match. Normally the dogs got on transport to their new ‘parents’ but because we partly live in Spain we wanted to meet Simba and the people behind DOMINO in Spain. The lady was so kind, she explained about their dog shelter, and also told us everything about little Simba. We fell in love with the dog instantly, and after all the paperwork has been done, we took Simba home with us. After one week the lady came to visit us, she wanted to know how we live and wanted to see the interaction between the adoption dog and their humans. It is a very good organisation, where people work with all their heart and invest all their time to rescue dogs and also to make sure that they find the new home they deserve.Adopting a dog is the best way to find a new dog. There are so many lovely characters waiting for their new forever homes. But also take in mind that it takes a while before the dog is totally at ease, don’t expect it to be perfect within 2 weeks. The dog needs to learn that he can trust you, and when he knows that, he gives you his unconditional love!We have Simba for almost one year now and we love him more every day. We are grateful that we could adopt him. Thanks to DOMINO and please keep doing this good work.
